Unknown gunmen mesmerize Anambra security operatives and reportedly killed unspecified number of Policemen and soldiers. This unexpected incident took place in Anaocha Local Government Area in a checkpoint where the soldiers were killed at an outpost in Awkuzu and Oyi Local Government Area, Anambra State.
Witnesses, who spoke to DAILY POST, said the gunmen also burn down a police van in Neni, while carting away their munitions. The raiding also involved the massacre of soldiers where they carted away with their arms.
Such a pathetic security concern, yet there is no ascertainment to circumstances surrounding the attack, including the identity of the attackers while filing the report.
On one of the moments with DAILY POST while deliberating on the situation, the spokesperson for Anambra State police command, DSP Toochukwu Ikenga said the command has received the report and was working to unravel the circumstances surrounding the report.
“We are still working and trailing the news, I hope to get back to you soon, when the details are complete,” he said.
